Surely smoking can't be that bad for me?
When you smoke it increases
your heart rate and stimulates your nervous system. A cigarette might give you a quick fix of dopamine (which is the brain chemical that feels good) for a couple of minutes, but it does it in
combination with 48 hours of an agitated nervous system. So you might have another cigarette to counteract the agitation & get that good feeling back.... only to repeat the cycle all over again.
Cigarettes contain over 4,000 toxic chemicals and around 50 of these cause cancer (are carcinogenic). The three main toxins are nicotine, carbon monoxide and tar.

Some other chemicals found in cigarettes are:
- Acetone - Nail polish remover
- Ammonia - Toilet cleaner
- Arsenic - Rat poison
- Benzo(a)pyrene - Diesel exhaust fumes
- Carbon Monoxide - Petrol exhaust fumes
- DDT and Dieldrin - Insecticides
- Formaldehyde - Preservative for dead bodies
- Hydrogen Cyanide - Poison used in gas chambers
- Methanol - Rocket fuel
- Titanium - Metal used to make aeroplanes
Just imagine how good you will feel when you are free of a smoke-filled life and rid of that pointless habit... because that’s what
hypnotherapy could help you achieve.
